Most photographers we covered had been interested in photography at an early age or had some inspiration that led them to the industry but Hasan Ahmad is different his love for photography evolved with his passion for smart phones and understand their working. He started his journey in the world of photography when he got himself an Android phone, checking out the controls on the camera interface something struck to his eyes, focus types. He got curious as to what could a simple feature like macro focus do and started experimented with it, within a span of two years photography turned into a way of life of him.
Hasan was born in the beautiful city of Rawalpindi, growing up in the era of tech he always found himself attracted towards smart devices. When he got his first android it was more then just a device that connected him to the world, to him it was a device with unlimited possibilities and he wanted to explore what it could do. He started playing with the camera interface and mother nature presented herself in the best posses for him which led him to love this form of art, digging in deeper he started exploring the field of photography and learned about the industry which is booming in pakistan for some time now. He mainly works with mother nature because she is the best of subjects, the colors are vibrant and she knows how to present herself in the best of posses.
"It hurts me when I see people with power camera's and they lack the skills to use it to its limits" is what he said when we asked him if he would like to advice the people entering the field "Understanding your equipment is extremely important. If you don't know the limitations of your equipment than how can you use it to maximize the impact of your work". In his eyes most photographers rush a shoot, which to him is an insult because photography is more then just about the right focus, its a tale that a viewer should find himself looking at when the picture is in front of them and for that a shot needs planning and patience. His goal in life is to perfect his craft and then move to media industry for he feels that photography should be used to promote our country and our talent needs a global representation.
Right now he is freelancing and does photography for free but once hes ready he will launch his studio and start working professionally
