With her ambitious nature, she told herself that its photography which will be her way of expression. Today, after more than two years of hard work she heads her studio with her Fiancé and will soon be opening her doors for commercial projects. Lets take a look at Arfa Kabeer's amazing journey.

Karachi is a city which is full of colors, growing up I had nothing but beauty around me and being an art lover I always wanted to capture the different colors. 2 years ago I picked up a professional camera and headed out on to hunt down those fleeing moments. I acquired skills out on the field with internet proving to be my best friend whenever I found myself stuck, the camera soon became a part of me and before I realized it people started loving my work. With the passion in me driving me I always try to make my shoots better then the last never truly satisfied with my work but I guess that is where my creativity comes from.

The journey to this stage wasn’t all glitter and glamour though, like every story mine had ups and downs. There were days when I would be frustrated to a point that I would ask myself if I should really be a photographer and then there were days when I couldn’t contain my joy. One of the worst memories is of when I lost my camera, living in Karachi I understood that this city had a dark side to it but never truly imagined what the horror of being mugged is. The camera had some of my best shots and that is what my heart aches for till date.

My advice to all those who are about to start their journey as a photographer is to be passionate, this is a competitive field here you need a desire to best yourself in every shot and that can only be done if you are passionate. The amount of photographers has grown exponentially over the years due to the reduction in the cost of dslr. So if you want to make a ripple be creative, without it lasting too long is impossible.
